This is an intensive two-day review for all practitioners.  Five faculty members, leaders in wound healing and all noted for their teaching and communication skills.  

Topics Include: Wound Etiology Analysis and Assessment; General Diagnostics; Nutrition and Wound Healing; Pressure Ulcers Including Deep Tissue Injury; Pain Management; Circulatory Disorders; Traumatic Wounds; Infection, Diabetes Mellitus and Diabetic Ulcers, Surgical Wound Management; Diabetic Foot;  Adjunctive Wound Therapies and more!!. There are faculty panels and ample time for questions and answers.

Medical Education Credits: Category 1 AMA and CPME, Total Course Hours: 15 Total CMEs/CEs: 14

Value:   A valuable tool for a concentrated weekend to update wound care general knowledge as well as preparation for certification examination, such as the Physician Wound Care Certification Exam offered by Council for Medical Education Testing (CMET). The intended audience are Surgeons, Primary care Physicians, Podiatrists, Dermatologists, Family Medicine and Physicians with Specialty in Wound healing.

Identify diagnosis and treatment of skin ulcers

Explain Identification and treatment of ulcers: Pressure, vascular, ischemic and diabetic.

Explain wound management: surgical and non-surgical; adjunctive therapeutic regimens.
